MICRON DELTA SPORT FOR SUZUKI’S DL1000 |
Suzuki’s popular DL1000 V-Strom is the latest motorcycle to benefit from Micron’s recently launched Delta Sport silencer, and the Derbyshire manufacturer has announced a pair of endcans for the 1000cc v-twin.
The DL1000 has become one of the most dependable adventure-sports styled machines, with Suzuki GB launching its own GT version just over a year ago featuring hard luggage, heated grips and a centre stand.
The twin Micron Delta Sport silencers fit just as well on the standard and GT versions, improving the overall look of the bike, as well as reducing weight by 5.7kg over the original equipment.
With a power boost of 4bhp at 8,800rpm and torque increased by 4ft.lbs at 5,000, the Delta Sport cans add performance to the big Suzuki. At £449.99 inc VAT for a pair of stainless steel versions, and £599.99 inc VAT for titanium, they’re affordable, too.
“The DL is already a fantastically practical bike,” said Micron’s brand manager, Arthur Macdonald, “but the new Delta Sport silencers certainly improve its looks. With the increased performance and reduced weight they look even more attractive.” |
