MICRON GETS HORNET OWNERS BUZZIN’ |
Micron has announced the arrival of its long-awaited MotoGP-style exhaust silencer for Honda’s CB600F Hornet, the popular naked middleweight that was completely revised by the Japanese manufacturer for 2007.
Since its original appearance ten years ago, the Honda Hornet has become a cult machine – the subject of several one-make race series and a huge hit with owners, many of whom personalise their own machines with the vast array of aftermarket accessories that this unique bike has spawned.
After Micron launched its MotoGP-style silencer range last year, it won an MCN Award for Best Product and it became popular for adding performance and good looks to a variety of machines.
The MotoGP-style Hornet silencer fits directly on to the original pipework and increases both power and torque throughout the rev range, as well as improving throttle response. It also offers a weight saving of almost 1kg over the original silencer.
Micron’s MotoGP-style silencer for the Hornet will retail at a recommended price of £299.99 inc VAT for the polished steel (part no. OMH92/P) and black (OMH92/B) finishes, and £249.99 for the satin (OMH92) finish.
"The exhaust has always been a strong feature on all previous Hornet models," said Micron's brand manager, Arthur Macdonald. "Our MotoGP-inspired can for the latest version keeps with that tradition."
He added: "I'm confident that the combination of industry-leading quality, award-winning technology and ultra-competitive pricing will ensure that we have another best seller to keep both our retailers and consumers smiling."
