MICRON PULLS OUT THE STOPS ON B-KING

ImageMicron has revealed new GP-Sport silencers for the B-King and has admitted that designing for Suzuki’s iconic street-fighter has been among the company’s most challenging assignments.

The twin exhaust end-cans have been one of the most fiercely-debated features of the 1300cc muscle bike launched by Suzuki in 2007. For this reason, Micron has taken its time to ensure that its GP-Sport alternatives positively enhance the rest of the B-King.

Available in satin steel (OMS82) and matt black (OMS82/B) finishes, Micron’s GP-Sport silencers feature high-quality, factory-made carbon-fibre in the side panels, end-caps and a connecting panel between the two cans. They also weigh in at just 4.6kg, an incredible 48% less than the original equipment.

The new GP-Sport silencers boost the B-King's already-impressive performance figures by adding 7bhp and increasing torque by 5.8ft.lbs, both at 6500rpm.

“This really has been a challenge for our engineers,” said Micron’s brand manager Arthur Macdonald, “but they’ve really come up with the goods. The B-King’s rear end has been one of its main talking points – you either love it or you hate it. I believe that our new GP-Sports have made it much easier to love.

“But it’s been a technical challenge, too,” he added, “especially the three carbon-fibre elements. Unlike other systems, our is a totally integrated solution that’s been designed specifically for the B-King and we believe it’ll be very popular with owners.”

The retail prices for Micron's new GP-Sport silencers for Suzuki's B-King will be £695.00 inc. VAT per pair in the satin finish and £795.00 in black.
